Let your imagination run wild in this joyful journey into abstract art!

Let your imagination take the lead in this playful abstract art class inspired by the work of Joan Miró! Students will explore the idea of “taking a line for a walk—or a run!” by drawing one continuous, spontaneous line — letting it dance, zigzag, loop, and twist across the page. Then, just like Miró, they’ll look for hidden shapes and turn their energetic lines into colorful, creative works of art using watercolor and marker.

Without sketching first, students will dive straight into the creative process—trusting their instincts and embracing intuitive expression. They’ll be encouraged to make bold choices, follow their imagination, and let their artwork unfold naturally.

This class is about more than making art—it’s about exploring movement, mindfulness, and the joy of creative freedom. The result is beautifully unique and expressive artwork, full of color, energy, and imagination.

All Materials will be supplied.

We’ll be working with some messy (and fun!) materials, so we recommend wearing clothes you don’t mind getting a little creative with. Smocks or aprons are totally optional—but they can be a great extra layer if you’d like!
