The Squid & the Whale Class and Workshop Policy

Cancellations

We totally get it—sometimes life happens! Here’s how cancellations and credits work so we can keep things fair for everyone, including our amazing instructors who put a lot of time, energy, and heart into preparing for each class and also due to our limited space.

That said, we don’t want your spot to go to waste! If you can’t make it, feel free to gift or transfer your pass to a friend or family member for that day’s class. Just let us know their name so we can give them a warm welcome!

Set-Up & Breakdown

Right now, we bring the art studio to you—how fun is that?

To make sure everything runs smoothly, we kindly ask for 30–45 minutes before and after class for set-up and clean-up. We’ll arrive with all the creative goodies, and we just need a little help with a few basics:

  • A space with tables and chairs

  • Access to water if possible

  • A little room to spread out and let creativity flow!

Classroom Vibes

We want every artist—whether brand new or experienced—to feel inspired, supported, and confident during class. With that in mind, we ask that everyone be mindful and respectful of others while we’re creating together.

During demonstrations and instructions, please help us by keeping the space calm and quiet so everyone has a chance to listen and absorb what they need. It really helps our artists get the most out of their experience—and makes the creative energy even better for everyone!

Minimum Group Size

To keep the energy high and the experience fun for everyone, we ask for a minimum of 8 participants per class, and depending on the class or workshop there may be a maximum. Got a smaller group? Reach out—we’re happy to see what’s possible!

Need a place to get creative?

No worries—we can help find the perfect venue for your art-filled event! Pricing will vary based on the number of participants, and we’ll work with you to make it just right.

Our Creative Future

We’re dreaming big! While we’re currently a mobile creative art experience, we’re working towards opening our very own art studio—a permanent space for classes, workshops, and community events.

We can't wait to welcome you into our creative home soon. Stay tuned for updates as we grow!
