What if a bend of wire could speak? What if a sculpture could carry not just shape, but feeling?

Let your emotions take shape in this one-of-a-kind sculpture class that blends creativity, craftsmanship, and self-expression. Young artists will explore how the human figure can project powerful emotions—without saying a single word. They’ll create their own expressive sculptures inspired by the emotional works of artists like Alberto Giacometti, Louise Bourgeois, and Zenos Frudakis. Sculptures that reflect emotions and how they relate to the world around them.

Through hands-on exploration and a collection of unexpected yet expressive materials—students will design a figure that captures an emotionally charged figure- whether it’s joy, curiosity, determination, sadness, or calm. Along the way, they’ll learn how posture and gesture work together to bring feeling into a form. Each sculpture becomes a visual poem.

Coming together to create art isn’t the only thing we’ll be doing in this class—it’s also about pausing to reflect, understanding how we feel, and exploring how those feelings connect us to others, to nature, and to the world we move through every day

Why This Class Matters:

In a busy world, taking time to feel is a gift—and so is learning how to give those feelings shape. Wire & Wonder is a chance to slow down, explore the language of the body, and create something that’s not only beautiful, but true.

Whether your child is an artist at heart or just learning to express themselves, this workshop invites them to connect—with themselves, with others, and with the deeper stories that art can tell.

All Materials will be supplied.

We’ll be working with some messy (and fun!) materials, so we recommend wearing clothes you don’t mind getting a little creative with. Smocks or aprons are totally optional—but they can be a great extra layer if you’d like!
