Vessels of Wool and Water: A Sculptural, Functional Art Workshop ages 16 +

2.5 - 3 hrs 1 Session

Explore the artful intersection of form and function in this hands-on wet felting workshop. Through the ancient practice of manipulating natural fibers with water, motion, and pressure, you’ll sculpt a hollow vessel that’s as beautiful as it is useful.

This class invites you to experiment with color, texture, and shape while learning essential techniques in fiber sculpture. Along the way, you’ll discover how to transform soft materials into seamless, three-dimensional forms — with the option to finish your creation as a sculptural basket, small bag, or decorative container.

Whether you’re drawn to fiber art for its tactile satisfaction or its meditative rhythm, this workshop offers a creative, relaxed environment to explore an ancient craft with a contemporary twist. No experience necessary — just a spirit of curiosity.

All materials provided. Leave with your own finished fiber sculpture and the skills to continue felting at home.

We’ll be working with some messy (and fun!) materials, so we recommend wearing clothes you don’t mind getting a little creative with. Smocks or aprons are totally optional—but they can be a great extra layer if you’d like!
