Impressions of the Moment: Gelli Plate Printing for Creative Exploration

Ages 14–18 & Adults | 1.5 to 2 hours $60. per Participant

Slow down and discover the tactile beauty of Gelli plate printing in this process-based art class designed for creative play and present-moment exploration.

In this workshop, you’ll be guided through intuitive printing techniques using soft, reusable Gelli plates, vibrant acrylic paints, and a variety of natural and found textures. This is an open invitation to set aside perfection and expectation — to move with color, shape, and pattern freely and experimentally.

We’ll explore layered printing, mark-making, and nature-inspired textures, embracing the surprises and happy accidents that unfold with each pull of a print. Emphasis is placed on process over product, encouraging participants to let the experience guide the outcome.

Whether you’re new to printmaking or an experienced artist, this class offers a welcoming, tactile space to reconnect with your creative instincts and enjoy the simple, immediate joy of making.

Leave with a collection of one-of-a-kind prints and a renewed sense of creative ease.

All Materials will be supplied.

We’ll be working with some messy (and fun!) materials, so we recommend wearing clothes you don’t mind getting a little creative with. Smocks or aprons are totally optional—but they can be a great extra layer if you’d like!
